Are we guaranteed the DJ of our choice on the day of the event?
Gary IS the dj — no exceptions.

How much experience do you have?
December 2006 we will mark five full years of experience with scores of successful wedding receptions and parties.

May we call your references?
Yes, referrals will be provided upon request.

Do you belong to any professional associations or trade groups?
I no longer subscribe to professional organizations, but do participate in forums and discussion groups.

Will you allow requests?
Under most circumstances, yes. Now let me expand on that! Subject to your instructions, desires, and most importantly, your “don’t play” list, we consider nearly every request as follows: First, do we have it? Next, is it danceable (fast or slow)? If not, does it have special meaning to the bride, groom, family, or close friends? Third, does it fit what we are doing? If not — same considerations as above. Fourth, will it lead us to another point in the party, and is that a place we want to go?!

There is a lot more that goes into it — is the party “rockin’” and might this request change the mood? Is the party slow and might this request get it moving?

Recently we have started carrying the “Mobile Beat Top 200 requested songs” for the last year list with us. If we have that song (and we try hard to have them all), time permitting, it will get played! So we tell people, pick a couple fast, a couple slow and we’ll get something in for you.


How early will you be there to set up?
For weddings, as many as three hours before your first guest is scheduled to arrive.

How will you be dressed?
For weddings, in a full tuxedo unless requested otherwise. For other events I will meet or exceed the dress code established by the event coordinator. If I am to be the “host” or emcee of ANY type of party, I will dress in a full tux unless requested otherwise.

Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured and will gladly provide proof of insurance when requested.

Do you use professional gear?
Yes, my sound system is a B52 matrix system. I use Denon and Mackie mixers and Denon cd players. I use Shure wireless mics. All of my equipment is top notch, well-maintained, professional equipment — right down to the cables and connectors!

Will you provide an emergency back-up system at our event?
Yes, I have a complete second sound system that meets the same high standards as my primary system. It is slightly smaller but adequate for parties of three to four-hundred people.

Do you have a contract to be signed?
Yes, all bookings require a signed contract with all terms clearly spelled out. This is for your protection as well as mine. The contract was designed by a local attorney and covers every aspect of our services.
